Literature Text

"Do you hear the grass sing upon her glory? Did you ever hear the sky whistle the songs of heaven? I hear them, and now I see the sun smile upon all of men as many rise from their silent sleep to come and fly to him."

I remember her words. Her voice, her wispy movements. Her days in this world was still fresh upon my memories. Especially her last. I cherished it all, our memories are like the thread that links our souls and hearts between two worlds. She was like a guide with a lantern, whose light ended my chains and freed me from torment.

Like an angel.

I was her personal guardian right after my redemption, I kept steer clear for threats upon her. She trusted me unlike the other Aaha. Every night, I come to the halls to patrol, I come to her door and see her asleep and safe in her room. I still do it until now, even though no one was in there, with the bed empty, save for a lotus that I placed in her remembrance.

I remember that fateful day, the last day she saw the Sun and Moon smiling with his nieces and nephews, like the Three Stars gaze at their children in delight.

The terrace at the Tower.

She was laying upon her bed, smiling. Her rose hair still like her, she was silent most of the time, the afternoon sky on our front.

"Look at the sky," she said. "Look at how the clouds play with the Sun, even though he stands there, watching along everyone. He’s shining and truly heavenly, one was wispy, silent and graceful, like forests in the air." Her voice soft like dancing willows.

”Indeed it is, My Lady”, I said. I stood silent after, observing the sky with her. The blue and orange shades mix while the clouds move and change upon the vast horizon.

My time is closing, Haava. Soon I shall join the Daeva with my ancestors and those who came before me. My daughter will be alone.

Can… you… take care of her?" She said to me, as softly as before, looking at me. her eyes was like pleading to me, reflecting the light of the sun.

What do you mean, my lady?" I asked. "is there a problem?

She sighed. She looked back beyond the great vast horizon, then slowly blinked.

Please… take of… Haria…" she said to me again. Her voice weakened, I looked at her as her body slowly loses the power to move.

For the last time she opened her eyes, smiling, raising her hands as best as she can, her eyes in tears. She tries to stand up, as if trying to reach out to the great Sun.

My lady?" I asked. She did not reply.

She smiled wider as if filled with joy, and closed her eyes.

He’s here… Mother is calling me home…" she said, slowly crying. She reached out more to the sky. She fell down to her bed, silent.

My lady?" I asked once more. She did not answer. I moved nearer to her, and I found her not breathing.

Lady Arahii?" My voice slowly goes into worry, She was still as a statue, laying there, smiling.

Lady Arahii, are you alright?" I come and hold her, I try to wake her up.

Lady Arahii!" I checked her wrists, it was still. She was cold. "My lady!" I said another time. The tears fall upon my eyes, I felt something up my nose, and my breathing goes faster, his chest felt heavy.

MY LADYYY!" I said one last time, as I wept upon her body, lifeless.

I shall, my lady. I shall.

Haria sits upon the same terrace her mother passed away, gazing joyfully yet looks upon the sky like Lady Arahii did. Smiling, and letting the cool wind embrace her. I took a breath of air deeply, remembering that same day.

She looked at me in enthusiasm. “Ayka Haava, do you think Amma Araia is well? I bet she looks down on here like the uncle Sun!" She said.

Yes, I think so." I replied.

The wind is blowing like she sings along with the sky.

(Posting this Hyratia short story for now. I'm bored and I don't post stuff anymore.)
